Greenwood Restaurant in Troutville

Great, friendly place to join friends for a relaxed meal. Good food, great staff, clean place - like a country diner.We've met groups here for breakfast the day after Hokie football game and multiple friends traveling through here on I-81. Greenwood is on RT. 11, just a quick drive from I-81, exit 156.They also have a free book 'library' by the register, so you can pick up a free book for the road before you leave!

Great food and service. Very friendly and homey feel. Had a very good breakfast here! I'd recommend and I'll be back again!

Delicious!! The daily special was Meatloaf.. Great home cooked food with lots of side items to choose from. Made from scratch desserts...Cobblers..Pies..& Cakes. The German Chocolate cake is wonderful. Great menu items.. and great prices. If your traveling through the Troutville Va area stop in for a bite 🙂

Each time we are down that way we stop there. The food is homemade and delicious. I wish we didn't live 3 hours away. The only accept cash, so just be prepared for that. They do have an ATM on the premises. The homemade pickled beets, and baked macaroni and cheese is my favorite sides.

If you love dives, stop here! Excellent place! Wouldn't have stopped here before without Google's 4.5 star reviews. Exactly as we expected. Sketchy digs, great food! Ordered a half hot roast beef sandwich and it was huge! Just like grandma's cooking. Quick service. Very inexpensive, which allows you to tip your server well! Hot homemade rolls. Only thing better would have been to have real butter for them! Bring only cash. There is an ATM inside for your use if needed.

Even if you would have to go out of your way the trip is well worth it, staff is always super friendly and the food is amazing. Visit there once and you will want to keep going back.

This was the first place I ever had banana pudding and boy is that always a treat. This was some four decades ago. They did it the old fashion way with Nilla wafers and Jello pudding. Dont mess with success! The homecooking is still excellent. The chicken fried anything will make your days. Generous with all servings and your coffee cup is never empty. Always bring out of town visitors here. Route 11 is a treat.
